"I'm Singing in the Rain"

Recently, my mom bought me a nature sound noise maker.  I have been having major problems sleeping and the constant noise of traffic (our bedroom is on a busy street and we have 3 windows in there!) was not helping anything.  My sleeping patterns aren't perfect... but this noise maker thing is definitely helping! :D  And, Casey is benefiting from this gracious gift as well because I would toss and turn all night and keep him awake by my inability to sleep.  Now we are both sleeping relatively better!

Anyway, some of the sounds are the ocean, a summer's night (crickets), a heartbeat (supposed to be for babies), waterfall (just sounds like constant "white" noise), something else (seriously NO clue what it is!!!), and rain!  One of my favorite sounds to listen to is the rain! :D  I don't know why but I always find it so calming and peaceful.

Funny story!  The other morning, I must have woken up around 6 am (don't know because I cover my alarm clock with a blanket because it is too bright) but I was still tired and assumed it must have been 3 am.  I turned the noise maker on and fell back asleep for maybe 20 minutes or something.  When the alarm went off, I had the song "I'm singing in the rain" going through my head!  It stayed there pretty much the whole day too. I couldn't figure out why I was singing that song until I turned the noise maker on the following night.  And what it kind of funny, I could only remember the first few lines of the song.

I'm singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again

That was seriously one of the best days!!  I was so happy the entire day and kept thinking about how happy life really is.  Despite the difficulties we face, life really is meant to be happy and enjoyed! :D

I cannot live without my fan for white noise. I find those cheap box fans you can buy for $20 are the loudest for when the ambient noise is particularly bad... You have such a good attitude-I really enjoying reading your blog...
