Week 8 Weigh-In

Funny Story:
While I was sleeping last night, I dreamed that Casey and I went to some place like Cold Stone/ Sub Zero because I could choose any flavor of ice cream I wanted and they mixed it for me.  I remember I choose Pralines’n’Cream with extra caramel and then some other random mix-ins.

Casey and I each ordered an entire box (like the size you buy from the grocery store) because we wanted different flavors.  We came home and I ate my entire box of ice cream in one sitting.

I was then really sad because I knew there was no way I would lose weight this week after eating a box of ice cream and J-Dawgs.  I was really upset the rest of the night and kind of had troubled sleep.  The problem is I didn’t realize I was still dreaming.  I really thought I had eaten a whole box of ice cream.

Finally when I wake up, I realize I didn’t eat ice cream and no longer felt so bad about J-Dawgs and a stake institute dinner the night before the stake J-Dawg fair (ok really the fair was for stake preparedness—but I wonder how many came just for the hot dogs).  I had been sad/ nervous all night for the weigh-in over ice cream I never ate!! …ugh…

Anyway…
-5 pounds!!  :D

Oh my goodness! You're amazing. :) How many total pounds have you lost? And when did you start the program? (You're doing a Biggest Loser thing, right?) Anyway, I am so impressed. Keep up the good work!

Erin--thanks so much! :) I'm scared to tell you if you are going to be upset at yourself--you and I are in completely different life situations right now!!

I have lost 37 pounds total! :D Yes, the Wii game is called "The Biggest Loser Challenge" and I workout everyday but Sunday (well at least I try... it seems like I miss one random day every week) using it. I also watch what I eat and loosely count calories.

Thanks so much for your support!! :) If you ever want to come over sometime (with or without Alli) and workout with me on the multi-player game, I would love to! :)

Oh, don't worry, I won't get down on myself- I'm just really excited for you!

It would be fun to come over sometime. Maybe I'll try to find time next week. (J.J. is going to Las Vegas for work, to cover the basketball tournament for the Daily Universe- I'm going to be lonely!)

Lucky J.J.!!! :D

And that makes it official--you for sure have to come over so you can do something other than miss your darling hubby!

great job! i just ordered this "moms into fitness" dvd set that's modified for having just had a baby, so i'm hoping that can get me back into the swing of things. and then once we get our own place, i'm hoping to eat better too - we're gonna be on a super tight budget, but i'm still hoping to do it! :) i usually lack motivation, but i think just getting up and going will really help me and hopefully i'm not deflated too much by my back and stuff and i can actually do the workouts! :)

I have found that eating better does not necessarily mean more expensive! I just watch the ads (it takes time) and the price match everything at Wal-Mart. I also think with some things it might be better because I make larger portions of it and then freeze them so our food budget has (if anything) decreased but at least remained the same on average.

I hope Moms into fitness works--someday--a while down the road, I may have to look into it! :)
