So... I don't know if anyone remembers my recipe post about Oreo Cakester cookies. But I just found a whole bunch of yummy variations that I thought I would share. Eliminate the the powdered sugar and cream cheese for non-sandwiched/ frosted cookies. Mix these variations (or come up with your own) into the original recipe for creative cake mix cookies. Delicious!! :D

Use different flavors of cake mix. So simple but so delicious!
For an easy frosting, use the coordinating flavor from the store. Yum! :)
Chocolate Chip Cookies:
Use white cake mix. To the basic recipe add 1/2 c. chocolate chips
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies:
Use spice cake mix. To the basic recipe add 1 c. oatmeal, 1/2 c. applesauce, 1/2 c. raisins
Banana Nut Cookies:
Use yellow cake mix. To the basic recipe add 2/3 c. mashed banana, 2/3 c. chopped nuts, 1/4 c. flour, dash of nutmeg and/ or cinnamon
Cherry Coconut Cookies:
Use either white cake mix or chocolate cake mix. To the basic recipe add 1/2 can cherry pie filling, 1/2 c. shredded coconut, 2/3 c. flour, 1/2 t. almond extract
Use yellow cake mix. To the basic recipe add 1 c. shredded coconut, 1/2 c. drained crushed pineapple, 1/ 4 c. flour, dash cinnamon
Carrot Cake Cookies:
Use spice cake mix. To the basic recipe add 1 c. grated carrot, 1/2 c. raisins, 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Peanut Butter Cookies:
Use yellow cake mix. To the basic recipe add 1/2 c. peanut butter chips, 1/2 c. chopped peanuts, 1/4 c. peanut butter.
Use white cake mix. To the basic recipe add 1/4 c. - 1/2 c. flour (make it really stiff). Roll into balls and roll in a cinnamon/ sugar mixture.
Diet Friendly Cookies:
Use Philsbury sugar free cake mix (only comes in yellow and chocolate). Substitute the eggs for 1/3 c. egg beaters. Substitute the oil for 1/3 c. sugar free apple sauce. Add extra mix-ins as desired. But for these as is, if you make 30 cookies, each will have ~50 calories. :)
