Ok. I'm not going to lie. Teaching can be extremely difficult. The lesson planning is completely time consuming--seriously! But on the up note, one of my classes was switched so I dropped a lesson prep and now I feel like I can at least see light! Before the change with that additional prep, it was pitch black.
Anyway, I have learned a valuable lesson these past few days. There are some kids/ situations that I have been struggling with. But I glue a smile on my face and fake that I'm happy. I keep that fake smile glued on until I realize it has transformed from fake to real. And honestly the next thing I know, my bubbly personality is back.
So... question: do you remember Dori from "Finding Nemo?" She would always say, "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming." I feel like that could be my motto, "just keep smiling, just keep smiling!" It honestly works!! :D If you are having a crummy day, don't have air conditioning, have to deal with an extremely large class with overly talkative students, etc., then just keep smiling.
